Dominant variant

The dominant variant indicates the most active and transmissible variant currently in the “community” for each specified pathogen. ParticleOne will update characteristics of the dominant variant if public health authorities declare a particular variant to represent the majority of infections in a region. Designation of the dominant variant may influence factors including transmissibility, vaccine effectiveness or other parameters in the model. ParticleOne communicates changes to such factors regularly.
